The Children’s Literacy Center provides free one-to-one tutoring to elementary school children reading below grade level. The Children’s Literacy Center uses the Peak Reader‘s program, which is a proven tool designed by CLC in collaboration with local and national education experts, incorporates a mountain theme as children climb to the peak of their reading abilities. Each kit contains a training video, story-based lessons, hands-on activities, games and writing exercises.

Metro Denver Partners inspires community involvement, empowers youth to realize their potential, and creates hope for their future. Youth are matched with adult-volunteer mentors who serve as both an advocate and friend. Metro Denver Partners mission is to promote a safe and growth-oriented environment in which at risk youth can develop and flourish.

Star Girlz Empowerment is a therapeutic mentoring program for girls ages 10-18. They address life’s challenges in the classroom, society, and at home through essential, life-saving approaches that assist girls in making healthy life choices during their transitional stage of development.

Nurturing Parenting is a program at Families Forward Resource Center (FFRC) that teaches families about developmental milestones, discipline techniques, bonding and attachment, and many other valuable parenting skills. Classes also emphasize the value of peer support and encourage parents to remain in contact with each other after the class is concluded. FFRC teaches the 40-hour curriculum over 16 weeks in both English and Spanish, and currently runs at least two different classes each week. Over 40 families participate in the program each year.
